As humans we love putting “labels” and we love naming things. Because when we label, that thing becomes concrete and easily recognizable, it makes sense. When we name things, inanimate objects like our car, laptop, etc… We create a personal connection and bond with those things we’ve labeled and given names to. While this may not always be productive for every single aspect of our experience, this technique can be useful when applied to less concrete concepts such as our ego, intuition, inner child, etc… Have you learned and understood the concept that “we are not our thoughts”, but finding it hard to bring that concept into practice?
